Reactive Dog Group
A Safe, Supportive Walk for Reactive Dogs and Their Humans
North East Assistance and Therapy Dogs is delighted to introduce our Reactive Dog Group - a calm, structured, outdoor walk designed specifically for dogs (and handlers!) who need a little more space, understanding and patience.
This walk is ideal for dogs who become overwhelmed around other dogs, people or busy environments. Our goal is to create a safe, judgment‑free space where handlers can build confidence, practice management skills and enjoy a peaceful walk with professional support.

What to Expect
The course will start with a 1.5 hour Theory Session, followed by 6 weekly walks on 15th, 22nd and 29th March, then 5th, 12 and 19th April.

The Walks - starting Sunday 15th March 2026, 9:30am meeting near Mole County Stores
This walk is ideal for dogs who become overwhelmed around other dogs, people or busy environments. Our goal is to create a safe, judgment‑free space where handlers can build confidence, practice management skills and enjoy a peaceful walk with professional support.

Understanding & Training: The Foundations Course
1.5hrs Every Saturday for Six Weeks | Build a Dog-Human Connection that Lasts
Whether you're a first-time dog owner or looking to deepen your training skills, this immersive programme is designed to transform how you understand and communicate with your dog. The class consists of 6 theory classes followed by 2 practical sessions at your home where you will gain the tools to shape any behaviour - calmly, confidently and effectively.

Led by our senior Trainer, Kay Whiteley, this course blends theory and practical experience in a supportive, small-group setting. You will leave each session with new skills, a stronger bond with your dog and a positive answer to your dog training concerns.
Next course begins:
Date: 28th March 2026 for 6 weeks followed by two practical sessions which will be booked during the last theory session
Time: 4pm or 6pm start
Location: St James Hall, Pottergate, Alnwick NE66 1JW
Class Attendance Spaces are limited but dial-in places are available, where you will still experience the full benefit of the course live online.
